Mr   Christophe Farnaud , will host a reception in honour of visual activist Zanele Muholi , who will  receive the insignia of Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres (Knight in the Order of Arts and Letters). Muholi is an internationally acclaimed South African photographer. Born in 1972 in Umlazi, the  artist’s_work is deeply intertwined with advocacy on behalf of the lesbian, gay, bisexual,  transgender, and intersex (LGBTI) community.  Muholi cofounded the Forum for the Empowerment of Women (FEW) in 2002 and in 2009  founded Inkanyiso , a forum for queer and visual media. My Kitchen Rules SA :   OG and G are eliminated In tonight’s intense episode of  My Kitchen Rules SA , the “meat guys” of the competition, OG and G from Cape Town, were eliminated after a vegetarian Sudden Death cook-off against Bloem Besties, and venison experts, Liz and Leanne. The two meat-loving pairs of the series were pitted against each other after a disastrous pasta challenge that had judges David Higgs and J’Something reprimanding all six of the remaining teams for cooking well below par for this level of the competition. The tension in the kitchen was palpable from the get-go when the judges informed the contestants that they’d be cooking in a tag-team pasta challenge. The brief: to create a delicious pasta dish from scratch, with accompanying sauce. Chibuku shakes up Vilakazi Street

It was a carnival atmosphere on the historic Vilakazi Street in Orlando West, Soweto last night as Chibuku celebrated its new look and brand positioning at Sakhumzi Restaurant.  The popular traditional sorghum brew has been spruced up and given a spanking new appeal. Chibuku chefs prepared some deliciously refreshing cocktails to showcase how the new Banana and Pineapple flavours can be enjoyed on a hot summer day. Celebrities such as Khanyi Mbau, Tebogo Lerole, Siphesihle Vazi, Clement Maosa, Tshepo Maseko, Lesley Musina, Xoli Zondo, Buhle Maseko, Akhumzi Jezile, Soul Kulture and Tol Ass Mo, stuck to the dress code and donned their traditional gear as they danced to music by Sliq Angel, MXO, Candy Tsa Mandebele, Karabo and Revolution.  The entertainment ran well into the night with Chibuku flowing freely.
