LGBTI Recognition Awards: PRESS RELEASE

The 3^rd Annual LGBTI Awards Ceremony will be held on 26 October 2013 at the State Theatre, Pretoria.  The theme for this year is:”Top Shayela” which means there will be a lot of glitz and glamour and everyone looking as fresh as they can be. Various categories are going to be recognised and Amstel Maboe and other performers will be gracing us with their performances.  Tickets are available at Computicket for R190.  The Organiser Lebo Radebe aka Nob Ody, will set the stage for a night to never forget.

As you may be aware, the Lesbians and Gays have been experiencing a lot of hate crimes lately, and these awards will give the Public exposure to the LGBTI Community to show the Public that they are normal human beings just like everybody else and they also contribute to the good of the community. With various categories enlisted, efforts of those who play significant roles within the LGBTI Community will be recognized and celebrated.  

The LGBTI Awards were initially hosted during the year 2011, and the response was tremendous. We hosted them again in 2012 at the Soweto Theatre and owing to popular demand, we hosting them again. The awards are growing bigger and better every year.

Part of the proceedings from the Awards are donated to a charity. The funds provided by this event will be used to provide food, clothing and finance activities for the charity of choice.
