MISS SOUTH AFRICA 2015 FINALISTS ANNOUNCED!
Gauteng leads with a majority number of finalists (7), three from the Western Cape and one each from Kwa-Zulu Natal and Mpumalanga for the Miss SA 2015 competition.
Johannesburg, January 15: The Top 12 Miss South Africa finalists, who are vying for the title of Miss South Africa 2015, have been announced.
They will compete for the prestigious title at the Sun City Superbowl on March 29, an event which will be televised live and simulcast on M-Net and Mzansi Magic.
Here they are!
1. BUSI MAHLANGU, (23) from Kwa-Mhlanga Kwa-Ndebele Mpumalanga, 3rd year economics student at the University of South Africa.
2. Chanelle Sardinha, (23) from Fourways, Johannesburg, Gauteng, actress and model. Honours degree graduate in BA Dramatic Arts at Wits University.
3. Kuils River, (21) from Cape Town, Western Cape, a first year BCom Marketing student at the IMM Graduate School of Marketing.
4. Gugulethu Banda, (21) from Spruitview, Ekurhuleni, Gauteng, 1st year BA Tourism Development student at the University of Johannesburg.
5. Kim Wentzel, (24) from Roodepoort, Gauteng, assistant fashion buyer for Edcon. Also studying for an advanced diploma in marketing management at the South Africa Institute of Marketing Management.
6. Liesl Laurie, (23) from Eldorado Park, Johannesburg, Gauteng, B.Com General Degree graduate from the University of Johannesburg (Soweto Campus)
7. Nicole Lamberts, (24) from Idas Valley, Stellenbosch, Western Cape, final year honours B. Occupational Therapy. Just completed her 3rd year of the degree and studying at the Tygerberg Medical Campus, a division of Stellenbosch University.
8. Ntsiki Mkhize, (23) from Kliprivier, Midvaal, Gauteng, BCom Marketing Management graduate and a BCom Honours in Logistics Management from the University of Johannesburg. Works as a client executive at 21st Century Pay Solutions Group.
9. Refilwe Mthimunye, (22) from Bronkhorstspruit, Tshwane, Gauteng, 3rd year student in LLB Law at the University of South Africa.
10. Sihle Makhanya, (23) from Panorama, Empangeni, KZN, work fulltime for Makhanya’s Services as a junior quantity surveyor technician intern. Also completing her quantity surveyor diploma on a part-time basis.
11. Taryn Morris, (25) from Camps Bay, Cape Town, Western Cape, BCom marketing graduate at Varsity College through UNISA. Brand manager and marketing co-ordinator at an fashion distribution company.
12. Shané Naidoo, (22) from Farrarmere, Benoni, Gauteng, third year student studying towards a degree in Industrial Engineering at Wits.
Ziphozakhe Zokufa, the current Miss South Africa who took the title after her predecessor Rolene Strauss was crowned Miss World 2015, will crown her successor at the 2015 pageant. Zokufa is currently in the US competing in the Miss Universe pageant.
