BUJY BIKWA to headline one of the biggest Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender & Intersex march & festival in Africa!
After such an incredible success in 2014, on the
28th of November 2015, over 4000 people are expected to descend upon the city
of Johannesburg to embrace their inner pride and participate in a colourful
political and commercial celebration of a unique and diverse community of
people that are pioneering in every sphere of society and have gained in
reshaping public perception.
Africa will gather at its economic hub for the inaugural Mzansi Pride, to also celebrate life in unity and challenge the world as we have come to know it and curb negative perceptions about LGBTI communities in Africa.

for everyone. People who come to these festivals find a huge celebration of
happiness that’s about including everyone, and about love, something all humans
share. We’re all part of the rainbow,”says Yaya Mavundla,
Event Organiser/Founder of Mzansi Pride.
Mzansi Pride aims to curb Xenophobia, discrimination, elimination of class, shed more light on stereotyping & celebrating uniqueness.
Mzansi Pride organizers strongly believe every family should be part of this movement as each and every family member living in Mzansi is affected by the challenges LGBTI people faces daily directly or indirect.
Artists billed for the festival includes Bujy Bikwa who will be the MC and sharing the stage with the most popular lesbian DJ Puggy, Glodine Makapela, Raymond and Owen amongst 2 celebrity DJs that will be announced on Friday.
On Friday the 27th, Mzansi Pride will host the much anticipated Miss
Mzansi Pride 2015 which consists of 12 transwomen and drag queens who will be
running for the title to become the new Miss Mzansi Pride.
Mzansi Pride 2015 march & festival take part at Constitution Hill,
The Square from 10am till late, and theafter party from 19h00 till 5am the next
morning at Women’s Goal Court Yard.
Mzansi Pride will also host netball teams from different townships to
challenge each other.
The event is sponsored by Constitution Hill, Black
Opal make-up and DNA wines.
