BONANG MATHEBA TO HOST THE FASHION CATWALK BET EXPERIENCE AFRICA

With just 7 days to go before the BET Experience Africa opens its doors, BET (DStv channel 129) and AFI Africa's Fashion Icon BONANG MATHEBA will be hosting the BET Fashion Walk Experience Africa where his co brand ambassador David Tlale will be showing his inspirational fashion collections at Africa’s biggest lifestyle festival (Ticketpro Dome, 12 December).

  

Amongst other designers that will be showing alongside Tlale at the BET Experience Africa will be designers Martelle Ludek, Thebe Magugu and Nthabiseng Molefe. They join previously announced designers NN Vintage (new label of Mafikizolo lead vocalist Nhlanhla Nciza), Loin Cloth & Ashes, Tuelo Nguyuza Collectiv, KL Tsotetsi and Rich Mnisi showcasing South African design and creativity on the catwalk at the Festival. 

Coming to Africa for the first time in 2015, the BET Experience Africa is the ultimate lifestyle festival, providing the perfect kick off to the summer season. Taking over the Ticketpro Dome for a non-stop, jam-packed entertainment fest, the BET Experience Africa brings together lovers of urban culture and music, wowing visitors all day long with great food, fashion, music, comedy, sport, extreme driving, sneakers and much, much more. 

Inspiring, immersive and hugely entertaining, BET Experience Africa will feature stunning live performance on an outdoor Festival Stage, while stand-up routines from comedy stars will keep the audience laughing. The day will be rounded off with the BET Experience Concert, with superstar artists headlined by GRAMMY Award winning musicians Mary J Blige, Maxwell and Raphael Saadiq, alongside AKA, Young Thug, Flavour (Nigeria) and Diamond Platinumz (Tanzania). 

Fashionistas will also be able to check out the hottest trends on the Sneaker scene from sneaker heads Hunting for Kicks.  For inspiration, attend one of BET’s informative and instructive Genius Talks, curated by experts and opinion formers in various fields including Fikile Mbalula, Minister for Sports & Recreation. BET Experience Africa is promoted in partnership with Glen 21 and inspired by the BET Experience, held annually in Los Angeles. 

Tickets for the BET Experience Africa are on sale now at www.ticketpro.co.za.  Ticket prices (which include access to the sound stage and other lifestyle activities, plus the concert in the evening) range from R550 on the mezzanine level to R850 (floor standing), R1250 (floor bleachers) and Golden Circle at R1500.
