Lira M-Net and Friends Special
The Voice SA coach Lira hosts special music show on M-Net this Sunday.
Ahead of the highly anticipated Season 2 premiere of the hit singing competition The Voice SA on Sunday, 29 January, M-Net 101 viewers will have the opportunity to see the world-class talent of coach Lira in action this week Sunday at 17:30 (15 January). The soulful songstress has put together an electrifying show for the next instalment of the series of once-off music specials M-Net and Friends, which was created to showcase and support hot acts on the South African music scene.
Settling into 2017 in the most stylish fashion, Lira will perform some of her biggest hits such as “Feel Good” and “Let There Be Light”. She will also be joined on stage by muso friends who are close to her heart. The list includes Prime Circle front man Ross Learmonth, with whom she collaborates on a classic Sting number and Afrikaans pop sensation Riana Nel, whose sister Nianell assisted Lira as a co-coach to her team of talent in Season 1 of The Voice SA.
After the first seaon had wrapped, Lira kept her promise to continue to mentor the talent in her team last year – even those who did not make it into the final stages of the competition. Funky duo Blaque Harmony who charmed The Voice SA fans will join Lira on stage in Sunday night’s music special. Lira is passionate about the future career of this charming act which she “stole” from Karen Zoid’s team in the show’s Battle Rounds. Moreover, Top 4 contestant Jeremy Olivier will also claim a place on Lira’s sensational stage as the two of them perform their brand new collaborative single “Love Back”, which has just been released on radio.
