Mela – Series 37 Episode 34 | Sunday, 28 April @ 17:30

Anjil Naidoo

Synopsis:  When we’re chasing deadlines, we just don’t have time to take stock of what’s actually going on in our lives or what our dreams may be. The holiday season is a time for us to hit the pause button and reflect on where we are, who we are and where we are going. Happy and successful people know how important it is to recharge their batteries so settle back with Mela and top up your inspiration.

Mela Star: Anjil Naidoo experienced deep personal loss and as part of the healing process, she took a holiday in the foothills of the Himalayas. This gave her time to reflect on life and to nurture the seed of a new business venture that would also be a living tribute to the love and life she shared with her late husband. Zaky gets the full story.

Mela Rising Star: We often waste our energy by acting on a whim or impulse losing time and money in the process. Life coach Simone Naidoo stresses the importance of purposeful personal development as she explained when she and Kriya met up in Jozi.

Mela Star:  TV and radio personality Wardah Hartley sees pregnancy and motherhood as being completely compatible with fitness and wellness – and the advice she offers is all based on personal experience. Zaky met up with Wardah to find out more about how to be happy, healthy and fabulous – while also being a mom.

Mela Music Video: Even if you’re a twenty-something, the pressures of life and career can leave you feeling as if you’re far on the wrong side of 40. That’s when you need a holiday at the beach and it’s all the better if you can share it with your significant other as in Idi Varakkeppudu, from the Telegu-language movie, Ekta.

Mela Star Dust: We focus on why Ranveer Singh is the hottest beard in Bollywood.

Mela Food: Chef Dion Vengatass is here with the perfect summer break menu, featuring wakami (seaweed) green iced tea, cauliflower salad, plum, celery and pomegranate salad, pawpaw salad, pea, raspberry and white chocolate verine.

Mela Music Video: Mela signs off with Tera Hua from the movie Loveyatri.
