DStv Weekly Highlights: 14- 20 August 2020
This week, DStv is offering plenty of light relief to help South Africans stay positive as the COVID-19 crisis moves into its fifth month. Wrestler-turned-actor John Cena leads a packed line up of laughs. Here are four must-watch lighthearted movies and shows to watch this week:
1. Playing with Fire (Comedy)

John Cena stars in this funny family comedy. When stringent fire superintendent Jake Carson (Cena) and his elite team of firefighters come to the rescue of three siblings, they quickly realize that no amount of training could prepare them for their most challenging job yet - babysitting. As their lives, jobs and depot get turned upside down, the three men soon learn that children - much like fires - are wild and unpredictable.
2. Swift aka Manou (Animation)

In this charming kids’ film, a swift raised by seagulls believes he is one too, but things begin to change when it’s time to migrate and he is forced to discover who he really is. Starring the voice talents of William Defoe and Kate Winslet, this animated adventure is must-watch family viewing.
3. 10 Things You Don’t Know S1 (Reality)

Each self-contained episode is half an hour of pure fun. This show features a big-name celebrity and counts down ten unique, unbelievable and surprising facts about that person. From Brad Pitt, Jennifer Lopez and Tiffany Haddish, to Will Smith, Lady Gaga, Keanu Reeves and more, the series will uncover all the hysterical, outrageous, only-in-Hollywood scoop that prove stars really are just like us.
4. Love Life (Romantic comedy)
Available on Showmax from Thursday, 20 August
Darby Carter (Anna Kendrick) embarks on a journey of first to forever love which includes the people she meets along the way. Scattered with a series of dead-end relationships and surprising human resilience, the film also stars the talents of Zoe Chao, Peter Vack and Hope Davis.
