Nomcebo Zikode Not Paid For Jerusalema Song & Speaks Out

Hit maker Nomcebo Zikode has blasted the record label - Openmic Productions for not paying her for the global hit song Jerusalema.
Bayabuza hit maker took to her Instagram page this morning (11/07/2021) to inform her followers that desipite the global success of Jerusalema song she never received a cent from the record label.
"My voice and lyrics have transcended globally, but I still wait what is due to me,"
"I have not been paid a cent by the label for #Jerusalema despite the song's global success. I have been ridiculed, with efforts to marginalize my contribution" she wrote on a statement.
She further stated that the matter is now handled by her legal team.
A year later since it release, the song is sitting on 420 million views on YouTube and has recieved a lot of support from major companies locally and abroad doing #JerusalemaChallenge, even president Ramaphosa during a family meeting he called people at home to participate on the challenge of which the challenge went viral.
With the global success of the song, Nomcebo Zikode and Master KG were honored with ambasodorship by the Minister of Arts & Culture Nathi Mthethwa.
Last month Master KG made headlines after a video of him and Zanda Zakuza surfaced of them performing in Paris with Zanda on the vocals instead of Nomcebo.
Jerusalema was produced under Openmic with Nomcebo Zikode having wrote the lyrics and on the vocals.
Despite all the hardship & injustices she has been facing Nomcebo Zikode recently launched Nomcebo Zikode Foundation which was launched at The Houghton Hotel. With the foundation she plans to assist those in neef as she understands what it like to go to school with an empty stomach.
