Thando Thabethe, her family & friends on a new reality TV


South African multi-talented businesswoman, actress, philanthropist, and radio host Thando Thabethe is at it again, with a new title to add to her name – executive producer of Unstoppable Thabooty.  Anticipation is building since she announced her partnership with BET Africa in opening up to the public about her life through her new reality series Unstoppable Thabooty which will air exclusively on BET Africa (DStv channel 129) on Saturdays at 19:30 from 15 April 2023.  

BET Africa hosted an exclusive and intimate screening where media and industry experts came together to view the pilot of this upcoming season that left all those in attendance excited to see more of the gripping reality show.  

This reality show will highlight all there is to the dynamic creative, Thando Thabethe alongside her mom Sibongile Thabethe, sister Sanele Thabethe, who is a fashion designer, creative director and fashion buyer, and her TV and film producer best friend and business partner in Redwood Media, Tumi Maimela. The show also features Thando’s close friend Given Baloyi and childhood friend Mantsoe “Pout” Tsatsi as they manoeuvre the in’s and out’s of life in Johannesburg.  

On the first episode of the show we see Thando cruising the streets of Joburg in her Porsche as she heads to her Thabooty’s brand store and catches up with her sister, Sanele who runs the establishment with Thando. The episode also sees Thando popping in to Given’s house where tears are shed over a painful shared experience and the two friends laugh about relationship dynamics and their hopes for even greater love. 

This qualified accountant turned award-winning entertainment personality also shows her appreciation to her mom for all the support she has given Thando and her sister with a massive gift accompanied by an intimate setup that sets the tone for the content and wholesome entertainment we can expect to enjoy in this first season of Unstoppable Thabooty.  

Unstoppable Thabooty will air exclusively on BET (channel 129 on DStv) from 15 April at 19:30 and repeats on Sundays at 18:00.
