South Africa's A-list musicians Black Coffee, Thandiswa Mazwai, Hugh Masikela and more to perform alongside Common at DStv Delicious Festival
The festival runs over the weekend of 7-8 October. The headline act for the Saturday will be Academy Award-, Golden Globe- and Grammy-winning actor and hip-hop recording artist Common.
The rapper will treat festival-goers to songs from his 11 studio albums. Common’s latest offering, Black America Again, released in November 2016, includes the socially conscious title track featuring Stevie Wonder, as well as the anthem Letter to the Free, which was the end-title track to Ava Duvernay’s powerful Oscar-nominated documentary 13th.
The line-up for the weekend also includes international music heavyweights such as Imagination feat Leee John; British soul singer, song-writer and musician Omar, R&B musician Alexander O’Neal and award-winning world music artist Femi Kuti.
Nigerian star Femi Kuti, local singer Thandiswa Mazwai, Black Coffee and legend Hugh
Masekela are just some of the other acts festival goers can expect to
see on Saturday, 7 and Sunday, 8 October at the Kyalami Grand Prix
