See how #TeamRiana and #TeamFrancois take to the stage at The Voice SA Lives! Also find out who were saved by the voting public from #TeamRiky and #TeamLIRA
On Sunday, 26 May The Voice SA talent coached by singer-songwriter Riana Nel and rock rebel Francois van Coke will perform live at the Mosaiek Teatro in Fairlands, Johannesburg, to keep their spot in M-Net’s prestigious singing competition. After all Riana and Francois’s talent have performed, the coaches will then be able to save one talent from their team while the remaining talent will have to rely on the viewers’ vote to continue their journey on The Voice SA. Voting will open after the show and close on Tuesday night, 28 May at 22:00.
Songbird LIRA and music producer and rapper Riky Rick’s teams went through exactly the same process last week. Riky saved bitcoin entrepreneur Eon le Roux from Port Elizabeth. LIRA’s choice was the flamboyant 18-year-old Yahto Kraft. Who will join them, based on the viewers’ vote? In #TeamRiky the options are the Pretoria duo Aura, Durban’s Ross Charles and pint-sized Amy Tjasink from Cape Town. In #TeamLIRA the voting race was on between the PJ Twins from Bonteheuwel, fellow Capetonian Krista Jonas and single dad S’bu Dlolo.
The good news is that only one act from each team will go home, though. Once the public has made their choice, the coach can save one more talent. That means only one act from #TeamRiky and one act from #TeamLIRA will go home this week. Who will it be?
This week, another radio station will take over the Red Room, to interview the talent and guest performers. Roland Gasper from The Afternoon Drive on Algoa FM will be in the Red Room and the guest performer is hitmaker Majozi.
The Voice SA fans who can make it to The Mosaïek Teatro, can buy tickets (R50 per ticket) at Computicket.
The performers who till take to the stage this week as part of #TeamRiana are Naledi award-winner Lelo Ramasimong, from Johannesburg; quirky industrial designer Elisha James from Pretoria; Pretoria singer and actor Francois Viljoen and Siki Jo-An Qwazi from Port Elizabeth. As Sone Joubert from #TeamFrancois won the Strepsils Knockout Viewers’ Save, there will be five contenders for Francois van Coke’s save. Sone will will join Daniel Jay from Port Elizabeth, the singing waitress Tasché Burger from Brackenfell, Cape Town payroll officer Anslin Gysman and pub singer Chezelle Shahadat from Johannesburg.
