Mzansi Magic Shakes Things Up With A Brand New Telenovela

Katlego Danke, Themba Ndaba, Thembi Seete and Zolisa Xaluva among many others cast to star in a new telenovela Gomora on Mzansi Magic.
Things are about to get heated on Mzansi Magic as the channel brings the life of Alexandra to prime time television. Pay television M-Net has announced that end of this month a new television show Gomorathe thrilling story of two worlds colliding is coming to Mzansi Magic.
Katlego Danke who just lost her job after Isidingo was canned by the SABC plays the role of Thathi, a trophy wife whose life takes an unexpected turn. Also leading in this well-made production are industry heavyweights like Connie Chiume who is currently on the Netflix hit Africa’s first series Queen Sono, Themba Ndaba whom the viewers cant get enough of his character on The Queen on Mzansi Magic, Thembi Seete and Zolisa Xaluva among many others.
Gomora, a controversial township of Johannesburg popular known as Alexandra to many is known for everything one can imagine from the daily hustle of its residents to its daily drama that we read about on daily basis on social media and media platforms.
This is all coming to our screens this end of March 2020 interpreted by a star-studded line up of our South African actors. This is of course through MultiChoice’s investment in local content, that enables the pay television platform to keep bringing fresh content to it’s valued customers.
On a statement by Mzansi Magic reads “For many South Africans it’s easy to imagine a setting where two different worlds exist side by side and it is almost normal for one family to live lavishly while the other is barely able to make ends meet,”
“What is a bit more challenging to imagine however, is when an unfortunate series of events causes both families to collide in the most thrilling way – revealing a complex story of romance, social inequalities and prejudices (as well as a surprising romance) in Mzansi Magic’s fascinating new telenovela, Gomora.” and judging by the cast and story line, viewers are sure in for great TV.
“Our customers are in for a real treat with Gomora. It is a refreshing new series that narrates a riveting homegrown story and features a rich tapestry of strong female characters. These are just some of the elements our viewers can expect from Africa’s most-loved storyteller,” says Nomsa Philiso, Channel Director at Mzansi Magic.
This much anticipated dramatic fate of two unraveling families in Gomora is on screens from  30 March at 19:30, Mondays to Fridays on DStv’s Mzansi Magic (Channel 161).
