City of Joburg to host the biggest music ceremony MTV Africa Music Awards for the first time

#MTVMAMA2016 | The MTV Africa Music Awards are back, And for the first time in its history it will be held in Jo'Burg, Ticket Pro-dome.

 

Today, 23 August 2016 MTV announced a new venue where MTV MAMAs will be held. 

The announcement was at Emoyoni conference centre in Johannesburg with a massive media in attendance. The event was also attended by the likes of  Arther Mafukate of 999 music, Nasty C, Kwesta, Babes Wodumo to name a few.

The glitzy ceremony will take place at Ticketpro Dome in Northgate on the 22nd of October 2016 and will feature some of the biggest artists from Africa.The MTV Africa Music Awards Johannesburg 2016 are brought to you by Joburg Tourism in association with Absolut.

The announcement of nominees to be held in September in Johannesburg, Lagos and Nigeria. Fans will have to wait a little longer to find out which stars will be performing at the MAMAs stage this year. Performers will be announced over the next few weeks.
