SCHALK BEZUIDENHOUT WINS JULY EDITION OF COMEDY CENTRAL’S "ROAST BATTLE"

SCHALK BEZUIDENHOUT SCORES IN JULY EDITION OF COMEDY CENTRAL’S "ROAST BATTLE"

Schalk Bezuidenhout & Mark Banks

On Thursday (28 July 2016), all roads led to Parker's Comedy in Montecasino for the live recording of Comedy Central's Roast Battle where the sassy Nonhle Thema was the host. Schalk Bezuidenhout showed there comedians flames. The only thing we were missing was real fire on stage for him to literary burn the place down. Schalk Bezuidenhout won the latest instalment of Comedy Central Roast Battle, Comedy Central’s gladiatorial “speed roasting” comedy finale against Mark Banks.

The amount of catering made it easy for some of the audience to get it and become volunteers as extras on stage, if there is even such a thing.

Other comedians that brought the show with no success were Jason Goliath, Mark Banks, Deep Fried Man, Mojak Lehoko, and Tumi Morake, some of Bezuidehout offerings were armoury of killer insults, deadly one-liners and wounding witticisms.

Bezuidenhout took home winner’s trophy after a tense duel with Mark Banks and joins previous heat winners Richlieu Beaunoir and Dillon Oliphant in the Roast Battle grand final later in 2016.

Comedy Central’s Roast Battle will premiere exclusively on Comedy Central (DStv channel 122) later in the year.
