Global Citizen Festival To Be Broadcast Live On DStv, SABC, & Viacom’s MTV International Channels!

The live broadcast of  Global Citizen Festival  will be transmitted in over 180 countries across six continents. Global Citizen Festival to partner with DStv, SABC, MTV International for global live broadcast of Global Citizen Festival: Mandela 100; hosted and presented by the Motsepe Foundation. For over 20 years Thandiswa Mazwai has been one of the most influential South African Musicians of this generation, and on the 24th of November she will present a powerful live show entitled A Letter To Azania at Johannesburg’s Lyric Theatre.  In this show Thandiswa is set to use her music to weave the threads that illustrate her early politicization and her visions of a place called Azania. With A Letter To Azania she engages the idea that freedom is a restless place and that we have not reached Azania. They hosted their bubbly nights affair, with the venue so intimate and allowing for a great night out on a Friday, the bubbly was flowing.  Before guests indulged on a starter of the choice where they had to choose from Baked prie with pecan nuts and cranberry chillie, Baby salmon fishcakes with crushed avocado or Butternut, sage and orange soup.  We had a taste of what it's like to drink a bubbly from Italy, Nua Prosecco Italy. Minister of Sport and Recreation, Ms Thoko Xasa. has announced the names for the 13th SA Sports Awards nominees have been announced. The most anticipated nominees list includes  Samuel Sepeng, Kagiso Rabada, Charl du Toit and Caster Semenya.  In the Sportsman of the Year category is the the four-time Olympic medallist Chad Le Clos, and long jump star Luvo Manyonga. Nominated in the Sportswomen of the Year category is the reigning 800m Olympic and world champion, Caster Semenya, who received the most nominations. The Team of the Year category features the Sevens Rugby team as well as the 2018 Cosafa Women’s champions Banyana Banyana. Athletics coach Samuel Sepeng is also up for an award in the Coach of the Year category. The awards are scheduled to take place in November.
