The year 2018 has seen a lot of things happen at GLAMOUR South Africa. From the appointment of the new Editor In Chief, Asanda Sizani, the first black woman to lead the brand to being introduced to an all new revamped issue of the magazine.
With two issues out, she introduced to us the GLAMOUR’s Most GLAMOURous winners for 2018 at the high-end The Munro boutique hotel in Houghton. The GLAMOUR’s Most GLAMOURous winners for 2018 were presented by GLAMOUR in association with ELIE SAAB perfumes.
In no particular order, here are the 10 Women chosen by GLAMOUR as their GLAMOUR’s Most GLAMOURous 2018. Starting with the lady who has kept us glued on our screens daily on SABC1's most favourite soapie Skeem Sam, fashion forward and October cover star is Amanda Du-Point. She says even though she is a revolutionary woman who can't be put in a box, category or certain style, her shoe collection will definitely make your life easier in getting to know who she really is.

Someone who's mother was incredibly glamourous, and definitely inherited her sense of style and confidence from her is fashion designer Bridget Pickering. Unfortunately her mom her mom is no more to witness her being honoured by GLAMOUR. Bridget's mom was diagnosed with breast cancer and passed away.

Musician and fashion designer Nhlanhla Ncinza says her fashion style is influenced mostly by the late Brenda Fassie and Jeckie Kennedy Onassis. She believes that fashion is the biggest form of self expression and the most valuable tool to reinvent yourself. Coming from a fashion designer, we will definitely take that one!

Another actress on the list of winners is Rolanda Marais, she is one actress who has made acting look so easy and a dream for most women. She says not like acting where you have to put on character, she says when it comes to style it is very important to be yourself and not let anyone else dictate the way you choose to dress or behave.

Someone who believes that for her, fashion is a form of art is medical doctor Dr Nandipha Sekeleni. She says she fell in love with fashion because it afforded her the ability to to explore her creative side. Looking at her style, she is indeed a creative & glamourours medical doctor.

We see her all the time seated front row at fashion weeks across the country, stylish fashion blogger, Sarah Langah Macklay says as a young girl she used to dress up for her family and make outfits out of left over material to model for her mother and guests. No wonder she is so glamourous and confident. She started doing this from a very young age. Style has become more like a hobby and that make it easy for her to blog about fashion.

Mante strongly believes that fashion paved new and amazing opportunities for her career. We do not doubt this for a second as we have seen Mante Ribane's career take off and her having a full jam packed calendar with her European tour amangst other places.

Another glamourours somebody is a go to stylist, fashion forward businesswoman Yasmin Furmie. Her understanding and her take on South African and global fashion is so inspiring. With a successful career as a stylist she is proof that with knowledge and doing what you love it is easy to face challenges just like she says her style challenges expectations, and she defines fashion as theatre. We are in love!

Makeup in South Africa has become a huge business alternative for many, while it has become a daily job to many, it has become part of what we wear on our daily lives. No red carpet look is best dressed without makeup in this day and age. Somebody who helps most individuals look their best is makeup artist Renee de Wit. She says she loves tailored clothing and shares that she always get to decide on what to wear based on what bag she is carrying on that particular day. She says she is always changing her looks to suit her day. "I'm either in mommy mode, makeup mode or dress up mode for an event" she shares.

Fashion is freedom said Tala Rassii, and fashion designer and stylist Nabilah Kariem Peck has proven this to be true. "Most of the time I am just expressing myself " Nabilah tells GLAMOUR. She says she's always loved fashion and thinks it's an inherent. She also comes from a very fashionable family, even her great grandmother was known for her fashion sense. So there was definitely no way she wouldn't be stylish too.
