South Africa's A-list musicians  Black Coffee, Thandiswa Mazwai, Hugh Masikela and more to perform alongside Common at DStv Delicious Festival The fifth DStv Delicious International Food & Music Festival is expected to live up to its reputation as South Africa’s top culinary and entertainment extravaganza The festival runs over the weekend of 7-8 October. The headline act for the Saturday will be Academy Award-, Golden Globe- and Grammy-winning actor and hip-hop recording artist Common. The rapper will treat festival-goers to songs from his 11 studio albums.       Dr Tumi’s Speak A Word debuts at number 1 A month after his historic and sold out The Gathering of Worshippers concert at the Ticketpro Dome, gospel genius Dr Tumi has released the first single Speak A Word. The reception of the track has been nothing short of phenomenal with an impressive debut on top of the iTunes gospel charts this morning. He performed the song to a full house of supporters who enthusiastically joined in and sang along adding to the electrifying atmosphere that permeated the venue that spectacular night. The song is about a believer submitting to the command of the Word of God and acknowledging that His will should be done as they yield to the Word. It's about someone looking for direction from their Creator, especially after exhausting their ways and still failing. More than four years in the making, the V&A Waterfront’s R500-million project to reimagine the historic grain silo into the world’s largest museum dedicated to contemporary art from Africa and its diaspora has reached completion, culminating in the official public opening of the Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa (Zeitz MOCAA) on Friday, 22 September. Conceptualised by the V&A Waterfront, in consultation with Heatherwick Studio, the museum is housed in a building that had humble beginnings as part of an industrial shipping facility in the Cape Town Harbour. The almost 100-year-old grain silo today has an entirely new purpose: custodian of some of the most important contemporary artwork on the African continent.
