Netflix Reveals Blood & Water's New Cast Members For Season 2

  The Parkhurst Class of 2021 are back  and they're bringing new friends with them! The fans have been asking for Season 2 since the moment they raced through the first installation of Blood & Water,  and we’re happy to confirm that the crew are back together and working hard on set as we speak. New characters will be joining the Blood & Water cast when the series returns for a new season later this year. The new kids on the block will be adding a little (extra) fire to the storyline as we see them involved in scandalous behaviour and the lives of the Parkhurst students are turned upside down.  Joining the cast is fresh face Leroy Siyafa, who plays Sam - a new love interest mixing things up in the Parkhurst after school scene. We are certain that he will be breaking hearts off the camera, but you’ll have to tune in to find out if he breaks any on-screen.  We will also get to know Reece (played by Greteli Fincham) a little better in season two and will be introduced to two

SAMA27 Entries Breaks Historical Record!

#SAMAMakesHistory: SAMA27 entries hit all time high record At a total of 1163, the number of entries received for SAMA27, has set a new record in the history of the SAMAs. The industry responded positively to the call for entries by the SAMAs that started in November 2020 and ended at midnight on 31 January 2021. The rallying call was that the SAMAs are inclusive and fair, and that music is judged on its merits by reputable music industry experts. Musicians from all genres, persuasions and influences have thrown their names in the proverbial hat to be considered for the much sought after SAMA trophy. Even in a challenging year that will be remembered for the devastation the Covid-19 pandemic wreaked across the world, the number of entries set a record for the SAMA since they were first staged in 1994. The NFVF funding applications to attend Markets and Festivals now open

The National Film and Video Foundation (NFVF), is pleased to announce that the call for Festivals and Markets Attendance is now open for festivals taking place before March 2021.   The grant is to provide financial support for South African filmmakers/practitioners to attend local and international film festivals, forums to promote their film and television products, share their expertise and to promote the South African film industry.   Specific conditions are applicable for each funding category, and it is important for applicants to take careful note of these conditions before submitting an application.   Project support is limited to; two (2) international and two (2) local Festival or market per financial year per Applicant; and one (1) representative per project per Festival or market.   Individual support is limited to; one (1) international and one (1) local Festival or market per financial year   Opening date for submissions:   Submission Date: 1 Februa
