Here’s everything you need to know about this unforgettable food and music festival which takes place on the weekend of September 22 & 23



A is for Attendance – It’s one of Jozi’s most popular festivals with audience numbers growing year on year.

B is for Be Prepared for a Sensory Overload – Delicious has something for everyone – the best music, food, kids’ entertainment and fun. There’s no other place you should be!

C is for Coke Food Fest – Coca-Cola is bringing some real flavour into the Delicious Mile this year with the Coke Food Fest and Reuben Riffel’s Long-Table Restaurant.  Expect the tastiest meals and exquisite experiences with Coke this year, only at DStv Delicious International Food and Music Festival presented by Vodacom.

D is for DStv – The home of truly great international and local entertainment has been the key partner to the Delicious Festival since its inception. This year the festival will bring you ample channel content with Moja Love bringing their show “Food Police”, Cartoon Network bringing a world of FUN for the small ones, and M-Net Home of Magic that’ll serve up some of your favourite content on the M-Net channel.

E is for Eclectic – There’s something for all musical tastes and culinary palates at this yummy event.

F is for Food Market – The Delicious Mile is a professionally curated gourmet street food market which is the best of its kind in South Africa. Joining the Delicious Mile is Coke Food Fest with 15 hardworking and celebrated traders who share the stage with our food track favourites. You can also find the Proudly South African Village and 10 of Gauteng’s best brought to you by Gauteng Tourism Authority.

G is for Gautrain – Skip the queues and take a Gautrain to Midrand station, and the designated DStv Delicious Festival shuttle services right to the festival! Gautrain stations will be closing later on Saturday 22nd September with the last train leaving Midrand at 21h30, and Sunday 23rd September at 20h30. This affordable alternative will allow you to have the most Delicious weekend with International and Local acts on the Main Stage and Vodacom Dance Arena hosted by Oskido and Kaya FM. H is for Heritage Day Weekend – Fine music, tasty food, non-stop entertainment celebrating our own – Womandla featuring Lira, Simphiwe Dana, and Amanda Black, Sun-El Musician + Tresor, Zethe, Miss Ducasse on the Dance Arena, and many more!

I is for If Music Be the Food of Love – Play on. Eat On. Dance On.

J is for Join In – You don’t have to miss the excitement on the Festival Terrace this year. The Delicious Lounge in association with Tanqueray and Johnnie Walker will keep you grooving close to the Main Stage, whilst also having the comforts only a VIP lounge can offer.

K is for Kids Zone – There’s a bounty of entertainment for the younger attendees from giant inflatables to a creative zone and much, much more. And it’s all in a safe environment.

L is for Lorna Maseko – The icon herself is hosting the Ambassador Luxury Suite together with DJ Kenzhero. M is for Music – It’s the one third of this magical event with funk DJ Collective Jazzanova Live and British acid jazz band, D’Influence, and Jordan Rakei all performing on Saturday, and Erykah Badu shutting the festival down on the Sunday.

O is for Oskido – One of the South African dance demigods who will have the crowds on their feet along with NYC born Todd Terry. Joining them on the Vodacom Dance Arena hosted by the legend himself and Kaya FM are DJ Christos, Vinny Da Vinci, DJ Fresh and Greg Maloka.

P is for Parking – There’s secure parking at the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit in Midrand where the event takes place. Parking will be R100 and you can purchase your parking ticket onsite - the only form of cash the festival will take.

Q is for Question – So much choice, so little time – who are you going to watch and what are you going to eat?

R is for Reuben Riffel – The celebrated chef and TV personality brings some of his fabulous signature dishes to the festival at a not-to-be-missed Long Table brought to you by Coca-Cola.

S is for Serious Food for the Soul – Neo-soul icon Erykah Badu will be joined by New Zealand’s young soul singer and multi-instrumentalist Jordan Rakei.
