Divas, Beauty Queens or Every Photographer’s Dream? U decide!

JHB, Tsakana born queen, Candy Rose 25 invaded Durban with Zanele Muholi and the crew of Inkanyiso productions to shoot her documentary, she recently crowned the 1st princess at the annual Miss Simply Blue hosted December 2012 in JHB.
The queen with the legs to die for started with her Durban diary with h interviews, attending the concerts, one of them being the uMgababa Festival, then the interviews with different Durban socialites. Candy Rose who is also a Trans woman also had discussions with the former Miss Gay Durban, Le Sishi about being trans, living in a township and being a beauty queen. I also joined the beauty queens on the discussions about being trans women, beauty queens which was rather very interesting since we had different views on all two topics.
Church – VMCI
Day 3 after meeting Candy we attended a Gay Church in Diakonia where we felt at home and connected to God, right just after the service we got into interviews with the church elders.

Photo Shoot – New Beach DBN
“If you can rock the swim suit photo shoot at the beach, you can make it any where!” 3 DIVAS working the swim suit at the beach, you can imagine! Everyone was fighting for the spotlight as Muholi took a few shots us (Candy Rose, Le Sishi and I) as a group and individuals. All I can say for now, it was amazing to work with Zanele Muholi and the girls. Pictures and interview with Miss Cany and Le Sishi will be posted here on my blog by the end of the week. Th interview with Candy also features discussions on her being a trans women, a sangoma and beauty queen.
