South African Fashion Week is twenty one years, and they are coming out even more stronger than before! We couldn't help but crush on this amazing designer to the stars who is a go to designer in the South African fashion events calendar.

Gert, who has been consistence since day one he was introduced to South Africans needs no introduction as he recently mentored one of the biggest fashion reality TV shows, Project Runway South Africa. Amongst many other things Gert-Johan Coetzee is one designer who changed how South Africans Queen B* Bonang Matheba's style to where it it today. He has dressed  A-list celebrities such as Minnie Dlamini, Kelly Rowland, Kourtney Kardashian and recently he has been seen working with award winning television presenter Lerato Kganyago both on Project Runway South Africa and on the red carpert.

Early this year we saw him collaborate with McDonalds on a collection where the international brand was celebrating 50 years of Big Mac. GJC Big Mac 50th  collection was also shown at South African Fashion Week, the collection included a range of edgy streetwear inspired by the Big Mac. Alongside the high-glamour red-carpet showstoppers the designer is best known for. All the proceeds of the exclusive range went Ronald McDonald House Charities, which provide a safe home, comfort and care to families of children receiving specialized hospital treatment.

Now, straight from crowning the first ever winner of Project Runway South Africa, which he mentored for months, Gert-Johan Coetzee is ready to yet again blow us away with a high-end collection on his solo show at South African Fashion Week AW19 on the 25th of October 2018 at Protea Court Rooftop, Sandton City.
