Model & Media Personality, Chris Mocks Scores SA Men Of The Year Awards Nomination



Model and Media Personality; Christopher Moumakwe known as Chris Mocks who started out as a model in his teens which he believes inspired him to become the kind of man he is in the community today. He started an NGO called Edbook Media that managed to achieve 2.3 million hits onwww.edbook.co.za in a space of 2 years without any support from the government or any private sector. Edbook media hub is involved with local schools, providing them with fun and innovative ways to keep learners and students interested in learning and education as a whole. He is involved in providing university students studying journalism, public relations, multimedia and other media studies internships to help better their studies, gain experience and complete their degrees. 
Christopher has gained a nomination for the annual South African Men of the Year Awards 2018 under the Media Category. This comes after the media hub; Edbook has been taking center stage as it takes interns to education expos, lifestyle events and community events, giving them an opportunity to further be exposed to practical skills in the media industry.
He works together with Tshwane FM, TUT FM and SMU FM giving them a platform to explore the world of media personally. His dedication to education and empowering learners and students comes from his heart. He takes personal time to transport them ensuring safety at all times. He expects nothing in return in helping them and even acts as their life line when they need one. 
“I am delighted and grateful to be nominated for SA Men of the year awards. It really shows that the hard work I put in with my team in growing the company and myself as a brand is not taken for granted and its finally getting some recognition.”, says Christopher.
Mocks also works together with other organizations like Department of Science and Technology, Quest magazine, Mathematics Foundation, SASTA and National association of school governing body to help broaden the students' exposure platform. He is also partnered with africaconnectonline.com based in New York which further exposes the students to the world of entertainment and arts and culture. He covers some of lifestyle TV shows aired on Mzansi Magic channel and M-Net and other networks which allows students to gain international experience. Abram Gentsu who currently works at Mindset Education channel is one of the people Chris has empowered through his influence & Solomon Mathebula works at the SABC News room.
In addition to this milestome, Christopher Moumakwe received 100 Young Mandela OF The Future in 2018. 
The 2018 SA Men of The Year awards will take place on the 29th of November 2018 at The Big Top Arena, Carnival City.
