South African Fashion Week turned 21 years in October and it was a call for celebration! Their partnership with CRUZ Vodka was a bonus to throw a massive party.

On a Monday night the A-listers of Johannesburg took over the most glamourus red carpet at new shopping center; ‘The Marc’ on Maude street, Sandton. The likes of AKA who is the brand ambassador for CRUZ, Blue Mbombo, Kelly Khumalo, Kay Naomi, actor and recent Mens Health cover star Lunga Shabalala, the bubbly Nomuzi Mabena, Phuthi Khomo graced the red carpet and partied up a storm. Even Mr & Mrs Knowles showed face. 

It has been four years since Cruz Vodka and SA Fashion Week announced their partnership and it was more like they launching their partnership with SA Fashion Week, they went all out. Seasonally, the two entities come together in a fashion collaboration whereby designers who showcase at SA Fashion Week partner with celebrities attending the opening party and ensure that these personalities personalities walk the red carpet to secure media coverage for designers, SA Fashion Week and CRUZ. During the course of the evening, fashionable CRUZ Vodka cocktails and CRUZ Vodka bottles were flowing. It was a party. 

As usual, there are those who will get it right, and those who just don't. AKA went all out in a House of Ole suite and Lunga Shabalala made a bold statement in a Ephymol design. While we were still obsessed with Phuthi Khomo's Quiteria & George ensemble, K Naomi came a snatched wigs and everything alive in a perfect fit jump suite. We also thought Sara Hlanga was stunning in a Gert Johan-Coetzee.
