It's never easy breaking into the music industry in South Africa, especially if you are black, there is just never enough market to support and the budget to make the artist dreams come true is simply not there. 

Vinyl Culture have been working so hard to make sure they claim their space in the South African audience. They have been the resident dj’s of Johannesburg’s biggest Saturday party series #SnlatCOCOON since its inception and their portfolio is increasing with commendable events such as the La Vida Sundays series (Resident dj‘s), Smoking Hot Thursdays, Monster Energy drink party, The Reps’ Jump Of party, Project X party, 

Varsity college fashion show, LiveitUp, Sould Out Sundays, (#SOS) Very Special Saturdays (#VSS) and O Summer Mayhem with A.K.A to mention a few.

What punctuates Vinyl Culture skills to Dj , is their ability to not only incorporate diverse genres and styles, but to transcend them by infusing the music with pure 

emotion, featuring spine- tingling breakdowns and euphoric melodies at every end of the spectrum.

The dynamic duo that is Vinyl Culture is a rare special mix that has the two mates Teddy & Rea not being just close friends but partners that understand each other more than most. The subtledifferences in their music selection and taste only compliments each other.

Both sound engineering students at The Academy of Sound, this career choice was not by accident at all and they continuously push the envelope developing their techniques.
